An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
